In the current competitive corporate environment Training and Development is a major policy towards the achievement of enhanced performance as well as sustaining an appropriate environment for effective and efficient work in organizations .

Indeed, the Labour Act, 2003 (Act 651), mandates all employers to develop the human resources of their organizations by way of training and retraining of the workers. Continuing professional development (regularly upgrading your knowledge and skills) is essential to maintaining high levels of professional competence.

In the  attempt  to  achieve projected organizational targets as well as satisfying the requirements of the Labour Law, it is essential to fundamentally build the capacity and skills of all employees in professionalism and the duty to work conscientiously in their preferred  profession with dedication, commitment and positive attitude and drive to achieve.

This proposal aims at presenting customized training modules, designed to tackle workplace challenges and employees’ attitude to work that cause business problems for work teams and the organization

Objectives

The main objective of this proposal is to offer Organizations the opportunity to access affordable Corporate Training Services in Human Resources, IT applications in business, finance, marketing and administrative   areas and also advisory services from expert and seasoned resource person.

Base on the aim of the University of Ghana, Accra city campus; to make education available and accessible to the working populace this training will further push this goal and enhance the brand image of city campus as campus of choice for the work populace.

Profiling Corporate Aims Services

In its Corporate Strategic Plan, the University of Ghana states:
"In addition to the education of the youth and the preparation of new entrants into the workforce, the main role of higher education is increasingly, the education, training and retraining of the existing workforce - typically, adults - who are constrained in terms of location, time and money."

Accordingly, the principal focus of the Accra City Campus has been to help the adult working population who wish to pursue degree or diploma courses while working.

To achieve this goal, the Accra City Campus aims to:

1.  Widen access to education and capacity of the willing Ghanaian worker.

2.  A Three-year Bachelor of Science (Administration) degree in: Accounting, Banking and Finance, Health Service Administration, Human Resource Management, Insurance, Marketing and Public Administration

3. A Two-year Diploma programme in: Accounting
Archives Administration, Library Studies, Public Administration, Religions
