Dr. Albert Akpalu Elected as Secretary-General of The West African College of Physicians

Dr. Albert Akpalu, a Senior Lecturer at the Centre for Medicine and Therapeutics, School of Medicine and Dentistry at the University of Ghana, has been elected as Secretary-General of the West African College of Physicians.

In a congratulatory message from Prof. Samuel Kwame Offei, Pro-Vice Chancellor (Academic and Student Affairs) on behalf of the Vice-Chancellor, he indicated that Dr. Akpalu’s “elevation to this high office is a result of hard work and dedication to duty”.  He urged Dr. Akpalu not to rest on his oars but strive to achieve even more laurels to make the University proud.

The West African College of Physicians, established in 1976, is an association of medical specialists in the disciplines of Community Health, Family Medicine, Internal Medicine, Laboratory Medicine, Chemical Pathology, Haematology, Medical Microbiology, Paediatrics and Psychiatry with objectives including promoting professional training of physicians and healthcare in West Africa.
